BluePrints
Most of our students are only beginning to build their lives ― not one nail or one brick at a time but rather one course, one field trip or one apprenticeship at a time. And they’re guided by advisors with blueprints to cover every step of the process. With each completed credit, our students are moving closer to their dream professions.
No Stone Unturned
Access to SC Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services is now consistently available on campus three days a week thanks to a new partnership between PTC and VR that provides VR with dedicated office space adjacent to the college’s Enrollment Center.
Test Driving PTC
In 2018, PTC began offering “Test Drive,” a no-cost, risk-free opportunity to try out the college’s education and training options and, in so doing, earn a valuable industry-recognized certification for free.
Life on the EDGE
Last spring, 19 Greenwood County high school students signed up to participate in the Greenwood EDGE ― a program that enables students to earn a Manufacturing Production Technician Certificate through PTC while still in high school.
From Italy to PTC
Twelve students from Azienda Bergamasca Formazione (ABF) ― a regional technical school in Bergamo, Italy ― spent a month this summer at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Laurens participating in instruction, training, and manufacturing plant tours.
Reaffirmation
PTC recently documented its compliance with core requirements, comprehensive standards and federal requirements in order to reaffirm its accreditation status with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Making It Count
As PTC students work to build their future, the college provides the resources necessary to clear a path for their success. But don’t take our word for it, hear how our students are making their Piedmont Tech education count.
