Expect More

During trying times, people often embrace the maxim to lower their expectations so they won’t be disappointed. While understandable, that response suggests a surrender to negativity that Piedmont Technical College soundly rejects.

While we may not be able to control some of our circumstances, we can control how we respond to them. And respond, we did in 2020, from loaning respirators to a local hospital and downloading content onto loaner laptops for students lacking WiFi to setting up an immediate assistance fund for students and transitioning to online courses in record time, the PTC family showed up and showed out.

At PTC, You Can—And Should—Always Expect More.

Quality.jpg

Quality

The most critical arbiters of educational quality at PTC are our graduates and their employers. To demonstrate our commitment to endowing students with the right skills for today’s jobs, the college continues to implement state-of-the-art upgrades to our campuses. We also see the concept of quality exemplified in our students as they continue their life journeys beyond our campus.

Flexibility

As 2019 drew to a close, no one could anticipate what the new year would bring. From the global pandemic to a record hurricane season, Piedmont Technical College has persevered like the palm tree that bends in a raging wind. Adaptability has been critical in keeping the college open virtually throughout a period of quarantine as well as a cautious and socially distanced return to campus. Agile leadership enabled rapid conversion to online instruction and flexible options for completing labs and clinical requirements.

Affordability

Students who are shopping for colleges, know the price tag for a degree can get pretty high. But they don’t have to settle for high tuition costs to get the education they seek. This year, PTC faculty and staff, along with federal and state officials, have worked to create and enhance existing pathways for an affordable education. As a result, more and more students are able to attend college tuition-free.
